Heroes & Hearts, a celebration in support of San Francisco General Hospital Foundations’ mission to promote excellence in research, education, and care for all at San Francisco General Hospital and Trauma Center, took place on February 12th. Over 1,000 guests attended this year's sold-out event, which was held at AT & T Park. This year's honorees, Diane Havlir, MD, Edgar Pierluissi, MD and Maya Vasquez, RN, were recognized for their dedication and impact on the community through their work at San Francisco General Hospital.
The Heroes & Hearts events are the Foundation’s largest source of unrestricted revenue and proceeds from the luncheon are used to fund the Hearts Grants Program. These grants are awarded to innovative programs and initiatives at The General that will result in improved patient care and have the potential to develop sustainable funding.
