In the midst of the country’s political and climatic maelstrom, 350+ people driving to improve health equity in the US met in San Diego on February 2-4 for SIREN’s National Research Meeting. We heard from participants that the conference provided a much-needed reprieve and a restorative space to be in community. Our team certainly appreciated the opportunity to dive deeply into the increasingly rigorous field of health services and policy research related to social care -- and to simultaneously think together about the many challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
We returned to work buoyed by the degree to which all attendees and speakers leaned in, lifting both each other’s spirits and work.
For those who were not able to join us, fear not! We plan to release many conference materials in the days ahead, including audio/ slides from our research presenters as well as keynote videos and podcasts. As these become available, we will signpost where to find them in the SIREN Evidence and Resource Library.
