Our Program
UCSF Family and Community Medicine (FCM) has a highly successful, well-established residency program at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital. We are now launching a new track with 6 residents per year at UCSF Lakeshore in July 2026. Lakeshore is a full-spectrum, community-based, academic family medicine practice that serves a diverse mix of patients and insurance types. It has been a highly rated medical student teaching site for more than two decades.
Our Mission

Grounded in a foundation of relationship-centered care, we aim to nurture physicians who cultivate therapeutic, transparent, and enduring relationships with their patients, teams, and communities
